In the 2011 issue of Art in America Annual Guide to Galleries, Museums, and Artists, I was very honored to be mentioned as an emerging artist. This listing was sponsored by CAN, Contemporary Art Network, in NYC.

I created my first artsy, charitable product to help kids in Haiti have the chance to make a better future for themselves, each other, and their country. I started painting island/ocean scenes on pennies and turning them into pendants! It all started at Now and Zen, Cruz Bay, St John, in the US Virgin Islands. A special thanks to good friend and owner of that store, Lolita! People loved it, and it's now nicknamed The Pennies From Heaven Project, which began in September, 2013.

I'll be restarting this work as soon as I possibly can. The effort will be expanding into other designs with other coins, so much more to come! I also have other products developed and developing; mostly spiritual, repurposed, beach, tropics, and nature related. They all require hands on work that is easy, with minimal steps in production, and have low costs in raw materials, so more can be paid for the labor involved. Working to music and in small groups for a more intimate cottage/workshop atmosphere is another focus. Ultimately, work/income for thriving, group efforts, and a space for those healing and healed from living with diversabilities, such as PTSD, neurodiversities, chronic illness, homelessness will be the main priorities of this collaboration.
