ART ARTICLE SERIES:
WHY ABSTRACT ART IN BLUE

This painting is titled Sea Star.

Why so much blue abstract art? Because I love the ocean! Blue is dreamy, soothing, calming, and relaxing.

I started painting again, after 10 years of it being a rare thing, in 2000. It was right after my first trip to French Polynesia (Raiatea, an island not far from Tahiti). The ocean there was so inspiring, I felt I had to paint again. There have been some breaks in that time, but never for very long...

The original was sold several years ago, but you can buy a really nice, high quality abstract art print on paper or canvas at my page on Saatchiart.com .

I've sold several prints there, and have never had a return, I'm happy to say! Over the last 11 years, I've sold about 120 original paintings to various collectors. This series was one of my best selling, and when I start painting more again, I plan to do some similar works with more brushwork as well.

Commissions are welcome; I specialize in ocean themes, portraits, and abstract art. I've taken a break from painting, but it's really, really pulling on me again, so expect some new works this winter and spring... Many many thanks to my collectors over the years!
